1 unit of MB131 Introduction to Molecular and Cellular Biology

IB Biology HL of 6 or 7 satisfies this requirement OR satisfies the organismal biology requirement

1 unit of MB201 Laboratory in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Genetics

Complete course(s) and earn up to 1 credit(s) from the following:

1 unit of MB231 Genetics

Complete course(s) and earn up to 1 credit(s) from the following:

1 unit of MB300-level lecture/discussion-based MB elective

These are intended for sophomores and juniors
Any MB course #300-349 satisfies this requirement

These are intended for juniors and seniors
Any MB course #400-449 satisfies this requirement

2 units of 300- or 400-level laboratory-rich electives

Any MB course #350-399 or #450-499 (except MB497) satisfies this requirement
MB397 may be taken twice to count as 1 unit, or 4 times to count as 2 units.
Selected non-MB courses can meet one of these two units, but one of these units must be satisfied by an MB course offering.
